I can't remember the last time I saw gas prices this low in central Florida. What is gas going for where you live? Post a picture if you can get one. 10/31/2014 Gas Price ( photo / image / picture from eclecticgarden's Garden )
We were just on a trip through WVA, N.C. S.C. and Georgia. The lowest prices I paid was $2.75 in Georgia. Back here in Ohio it has been in the 2.80's but wet to 2.99 this morning.
Well, our Prime Minister yesterday cut petrol prices by 9 Rupees! http://tribune.com.pk/story/784017/pm-r ... consumers/ So for one liter of petrol we would be paying the equal of 0.92 US Dollars. But you guys are used to the gallon, not the liter - So for one gallon it would be the equal of 3.48 US Dollars. However I am least bothered by all of this, as I (being the world's most cantankerous doomsday prepper) like make my own fuel - Does anybody remember this thread where I experimented with Bio-Diesel from cottonseed oil: http://www.gardenstew.com/about25730.html Yeah, I'm today almost off the grid in this respect. I really answer to no one for this, and believe it or not - It's the greatest feeling in the world!
Supposed to start going back up soon. But this is the lowest we have had in many years. Gas prices in north Texas 11-2-14 ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden )
We paid $2.65 this morning but saw it for $2.63 at another station. That was in Huntsville. Here in Madisonville it's still $2.99. dooley
Randy's pickup uses either regular gas and E85. E85 is a FlexFuel for many newer vehicles, gets about the same mileage and is cheaper so he gets it at Kroger. With our reward points he filled up his truck on $2.03 per gallon tonight.
You actually get a the same, or a tiny bit lower mileage. However, if you check the difference in price, E85 is a much better deal. Plus, it keeps the injectors clean and any water that gets into the fuel is bonded with the alcohol and passes right through. My pickup gets about the same mileage on the highway, but a little less around town. Ethanol is a higher octane fuel than regular gas, but engines that run both can't take full advantage of the higher rating since the compression has to be lowered to run gas. Make sure that your vehicle is rated for E85 before you fill up. You can damage your engine if you fill a vehicle that's only rated for gas with E85. Most, but not all, vehicles that will run E85 have a yellow gas cap. At least that's the case in the US. You can also look at the owners manual, or look it up online. http://www.e85vehicles.com/
I pulled up to a gas station/general store in Plymouth Notch, VT but the service was slow so we went down the road. Gas would have been right at this price. Great Price for gas!!
