It has been 30 days since I planted these seeds I am proud to show them off and say thank you Carolyn and the rest of you that talked me through this process! I think the heat pad is the magic potion!
Well done. :-D All ten look lovely and strong. I do love geraniums and look forward to your updates on how they are doing for you.
Congratulations, DEANNA!!!! They look great. I told you it wasn't hard, but that the heat mat was the "magic" answer for getting them to germinate . I can't start them without it. I was just wondering about them the other day, too. I saved some that went to seed last year and they all germinated for me. So keep it in mind if you see anyones'( or yours) who were pollinated and matured into a few seeds. They are few and far between, though. It's a cheap and easy form of entertainment at least, just to see if you can get some to grow.
Cool. I didn't know you could start them from seed. A friend recently gave me 4 cuttings, and 3 took and are doing well. Her geraniums are huge. Mine are medium sized. I cant wait for them to bloom.
I wish I had area to start seeds. Thar Maddie plays with the dirt,I do know lady who has had same plants for years. Digs them and let dry.But my wood burner Dry them out. Do you know what color they will, Good work.
I can't remember their given name but they will be pink & white :-D I can't wait to get my first bloom!
