I have this weed in my garden that looks exactly like my Germander plant I got last year. I don't know if this is a weed unrelated to my germander or not. I don't know how this could be my germander because 50 feet away from the plant, there are already these big masses that are flowering right now. It seems that the stems creep on the ground and root. The leaves are shovel shaped and the flowers are bluish purple. Here is a picture (sorry, it's blurry): [IMG]

That is what it looks like to me, too. It also has a musty stink to it when you touch the plant.

I think I saw Germander plant in a garden center yesterday. I almost bought it. It's cute.

I have a problem with the octopus plant and bee balm. they are growing like in 10 foot squares. Don't know what I am going to do about it yet. I may just rip some out and keep it small. When I do that I usually put what I rip out into their own pots and keep it in the greenhouse till I decide if I may want it in another place or not.

well it is a pretty weed, but a weed non the less. pull it up and if you've got a spot where you can let it go, put it there. if not, no worries...just let it go.
