It seems that the deer get more and more used to people as time passes. They just give me a casual glance and go back to their business.

I know they can cause trouble but they sure are pretty to look at. She looks like she's listening with one ear.

This one was munching maple leaves. She can stay as long as she wants so I don't have to rake. :D

Maybe it's a Hallowe'ener in a deer costume? But seriously, lovely closeup Hydro.

Thanks Frank. A few years ago we had a moose with a huge rack walk right down the street. Some darn fool started to chase him. I don't know what he was going to do if he caught it, but he is lucky he did not get killed.

We have several deer at work that are getting mighty neighborly too. They are really hungry this time of year and come closer and closer every day. I do enjoy watching them - as long as they stay OUT of the gardens :)

Great photos. We have a few deer that just wonder right into the backyard... never get that close however. I love watching them, but like Netty said, as long as stay away from the gardens.

Great close up photos. I know they are destructive to plants in the yard but they are cute.

Great pictures....right now hunting is on for them here and I hate seeing all the dead ones on the television news....I know they die anyways because of starvation but ..... I will never get used to dead ones.

Deer seem to have become as common in neighborhoods as birds. Ours around here are much more skidish, but in some neighborhoods don't even lift their heads from eating when you come home and they are in the yard.

Great photos. Looks like you could have her eating out of your hand.
