It is a bit early for my locale. Maybe I could start some cabbage seeds. Did get a kraut stomper and some lids for my crocks. Almost ready to plant peas in a month exactly. I'm planning on 80 feet or so of peas. Sugar Snaps. I love me some peas.

You could start cabbage now to set out later. How about also starting some broccoli and/or cauliflower?
I know how persistent that "itch" is--and there is no cure except an application of dirt!

I'm jealous Mart! Frost free around here won't be until May!

Doesn`t have to be frost free for potatoes and onions. Even if the potatoes get the tops bit the roots are fine and will continue to produce potatoes, and the tops will come back.
Our frost free days are not here yet. We had a big frost this morning @ 29 degrees.
Plants are outside and they are fine. It was only a ground frost.

Until we are snow free, I have to be satisfied with the little green garlic leaves an inch or so above the ground.
