    8) 1 pound 7.5 ounce Tomato that I raised in my garden this year. A slice of this tomato will hang over all four sides of a slice of bread...Mmmm
I have one that is still green that is going to be bigger than this one, I believe.

OH! you are very fortunate to have one already. It looks very nice. I hope it tastes as good as it looks. What kind is it? I, on the other hand, just planted my Burpee's delicious last night. Maybe I will get a contest tomato or not.

Thanks! I've been getting tomato's for about 2 weeks now. It is a Beefsteak tomato.

If you need some warm weather to help out with your tomato's, we have plenty down here....been over 100° f. here for the past week...we hit 107° on Friday, not as hot today only got up to 102°....Whew!!

Fried tomatoes?? It's a wonder they are not boiling inside. Hmmmm....I wonder if hot weather dehydrates tomatoes? Probably a city slicker question.

Just ask me Jerry ! I had many that steamed on the vine. Nice tomato. I had some that big last year but even though the weather has been better this year with good rains, I got smaller tomatoes. Weird !

Oh, Thanks Deepwoods, you can keep the 100+ temps, but the heat isn't my problem here, it is the serious lack of moisture right now. It is plenty hot here. Not 100 yet, but up in the 90's consistently. We did start picking tomatoes this week, but they are from my hightunnel not the garden, although they are getting close to ripening, now. Tonight I am rejoicing though, we did get 1/2" of rain at suppertime.

It seems folks almost everywhere are in need of rain. Most of all, Colorado.

We have green tomatoes here in Michigan. A neighbor has one ripe, but I think July will bring an abundance.
