Giant tomato?

    OK, maybe it's not right now and with it's heritage won't ever be a giant, but it's the first tomato for me in 2012! That sucker is over a quarter inch in diameter (6 mm).

    Just remember,, they all start out at that size. It could be a whopper by the time you pick it. Earlier I kept looking and was tickled when I found one pea size. Now they are going crazy and hanging in clumps from marble size to tennis ball size. I am just waiting for that first red one!

    Oh yeah, the first red one is the next milestone. This one won't ever be a whopper, it's a Early Girl. The Whopper is 2 plants to the right, lol. I just hope I'm here to see that first big old tomato sandwich. Homemade mayo, whole wheat bread and a slice of 'mater. Yum!

    So far my giant tomato (plants) are only anout five inches tall.

    Salad is comeing on pretty good though...

    It is food tpo see the first tom. I still have a ways to go over here--we still have near-freezing temps at night. my toms are only in the first transplanting containers at the moment.
    Great to see yours. though. Congrats.
