We don't usually have a gingerbread house for Christmas, but due to circumstances we've got one this year. Correction: We had one, until this evening.

Ours is a pre-made one. We only need to assemble and decorate it. Other more crafty people make their own, and some even make a replica of their own homes.

Most people break their gingerbread house on New Year's Eve, but the girls (and their grandmother) wanted to crush it today. So we did.

    Here's our gingerbread house:

    Tool's ready:

    One, two and smash!

All that work and just got one small piece off the chimney:

    Let's do it again:

Success! A couple more knocks and this is the result:

The girls (and their grandmother) are busy eating the house. I can hear the crunching all the way over here. :D

It didn't taste bad at all. :D

The icing's hard. It's made from powdered sugar.
