To work in flower beds. Last Sat ended in ER. All I did was peal Band-Aid off. Took huge area of skin with it. After couple hours still bleeding, Dh took me to ER-clinic was closed no one to staff it.
All this was from shot of cortisone (6 months) ago. Made skin thin. Wished I had read about shot. Would have said No Thank You

I hope the bleeding eventually stopped and that you managed to get treatment for it - finally. Imagine an ER clinic having no staff!! What if it had been a real emergency like a lopped off finger or something?

Oh, that is terrible! Is it better now? Really, whoever gave you the cortisone shot should have warned you of side effects.
Please, let us know how you are.
    Eileen, let's not mention lopped off fingers . . . .

Oh, you poor thing. Cortisone is a miracle medicine as long as you don't have any side effects from it. I hope you heal fast.

My dad had an illness he needed prednisone for and was on it for quite some time, he didn't know that it would cause brittle bones and he had a horse riding accident that just about did him in a few years ago, needless to say he never really got back to the point of the way he was, but he had no choice in the medicine...take it or don't move due to the pain/inflammation of his illness. catch 22.

Hope you are feeling better Ko-kid. Be careful to keep that wound out of the dirt zone, you do not want anymore trouble.

Still have to keep it covered with non-stick. and wrap-like boxers us. But better. My guys said will help -clip some of the flowers down. leave seedy ones for birds. Got better gloves that go higher up.

KK,That sounds awful!Your blood must be pretty thin as well as thin skin.My skin is thin for no particular reason, just getting old.Glad we have Mercy Hospital close in case of emergency. The first responders in nearby town are second to none & would be here in a few minutes.I know this from experience & from listening to scanner.
Please do watch out for infection.

Lot better. Went out and worked in beds. Took many breaks. Doc I clean for about had fit when she first seen shot area. Other hand is just fine. But some side affects of medicine not worth taking.
