Just posting this over here (to hear your opinions about it). The story is clearly not fake - I just never even imagined that corn could grow any other color except for different shades of yellow. Anyway, here is the link to the whole story: http://boingboing.net/2012/05/11/glass-gem-corm.html Wonder what type of popcorn would come out of this???
Can you imagine the sales of that if it should come to market? Not only the seed, but the corn itself.
How wonderful that the seed won't be lost now! With all the interest wouldn't be surprise to see it picked up by the more commercial growers. Hope the rest of the heirloom seeds are as lucky
I myself personally can't wait to see this type of corn growing in my garden! I have grown corn before, and it really is a very pleasant experience indeed! So if I am able to get the seeds, than I will try to make a time-laps video of it - Showing it grow from seed to full maturity, and post it on YouTube for all to see!
