Glenda says they have lights on the other side of the freeway which is just four miles from them. They don't appear to be working on her side of the freeway yet. She has a small generator that will work one thing at a time. So, she takes turns plugging things into it. She is getting water from neighbors across the road, carrying it in buckets right now. They are trying to get a hose hooked up for it. She is holding up though her allergies are bad because she has to keep the house opened up for any breeze they can get. It isn't as hot as it's been so if they keep the windows and door open it is okay. She said to tell everyone hello and don't forget her before she gets back. dooley
Glenda called this afternoon and said to me the same things that Dooley reported. She's hanging in there! Tell everyone hello and I'll be back soon! But she does have a new problem... the peacocks are back and 'pooping' on her porch! And her water is very precious, so she said , I'm not using it to clean up 'poop'!
Just tell her , "No way we'll be forgetting her". I hope that things improve for her very soon. She warned us that it might be some time before she got back to us. I hope that it won't be too long, bless her.
I really hope Glenda gets water and power back soon. We all miss her so much. It's good to know that she's still in touch with you both and that you can update us on how things are with her.
We miss glenda so much, we could never forget her. Thanks to all of you who are able to keep in touch with her and keep us updated.
I spoke to her the other day also. She amazes me. She is so calm and cool about this whole ordeal. I'd be a screaming maniac!!! I'm not a very patient person She just takes the whole thing in stride, like water off a ducks back Deanna :-D
I am just so glad Glenda is okay. I could never forget about her! I just hope she gets full power soon, because it seems its starting to heat back up down there. Just tell her to be careful and take care.
thanks all for the updates! glad to hear glenda's doing ok. looking forward to her return, and her and all down there getting their power and water back ASAP! hugs, bunkie.
Oh....groan! Wonder where the peacocks holed up? Maybe she could pull out their tail feathers & use them for a fan!! Seriously, it's so cool that you all are keeping tabs on her. We'll have to have a party when she gets back!
Mary, a party sounds like a wonderful idea. She probably won't leave her computer for a while, trying to catch up on things. I know she is so appreciative of all the thoughts and concern for her. I'm sure it won't be much longer! Praying it won't be, anyway.
