I talked with Glenda a few minutes ago. She said it was blowing big time and the huge trees were blowing sideways. Kevin stayed with her. She has less trees by her place. The eye was about 50 miles away yet. They had no electric or telephone. She was calling on her cell. I'll try to call her from work this morning. It's hard to believe since the sun is shining bright here. Her passion flower is all down on the ground. She said the roads are still clogged with people trying to go north. I've said a prayer more than once already this morning. Keep her and her family safe. dooley
thought are with glenda this morning and others in texas in the way of this storm. please stay safe. just said that dallas was getting 20 hpm winds. everyone hunker down tight and stay safe.
It's very worrisome sitting here and waiting. I sure hope that Glenda and Keven will be ok. I'll be relieved when the storm has passed. Hang in there, Glenda we're with you!
I was out all day, with the sun shining. But so many times i brought up, about Ike, and wondering if Glenda was okay. Being in that trailer had me worried bigtime. I'll feel better when its all over. As far as the passionflowers goes, they can be replaced, Glenda can't. I'm just glad she is okay, so far.
When you manage to speak to her again Dooley tell her that we are all thinking of her and hoping that things will soon be back to normal. I suppose it will take some time to get the power and telephones back but as long as she's OK that's all that matters.
