I just hung up the phone with Glenda and they are ok :-D No damage other than a leak in her bathroom ceiling. She has telephone, no cell phone or electricity. She was able to brew 2 cups of coffee over her candles this morning Poor Kevin had to go in to work!!! I still can't believe that. Evidently the bosses brought in a HUGE generator and wanted everyone to come to work  Her passion vine is on the ground and one of the new crepe myrtles is leaning a little bit. She said the big old pines and cedar are still standing. Thank Heavens they are ok Deanna :-D
Fantastic news. Thank you so very much for keeping us posted. Please give her our regards next time you speak. So glad she's ok.
I just talked to her, too. She called just as I was coming in the door. She is so tired so maybe she will get some sleep tonight since she won't be pacing the floor so much. She said Oreo has already started snoring. dooley
I'm just happy they are okay. What's a few flattened flowers with a wind like they had? I'm glad they didn't get the full force like Huston and Galveston did. I talked to her three times today and I'm going to call in a few minutes to see if Kevin made it to work and home again. It's up into Arkansas now and downgraded to tropical depression. I guess mostly now it will be rain until it has all fell out of the clouds. dooley
I am very glad to know they are safe, hard to belive the boss made people go to work, some people geesh. I am sorry for her having no electricity that cant be fun but the most important thing is that they are ok
Oh Thank goodness! I've been watching coverage on the news and it didn't look good. They said it could take weeks before everyone has electricity again. I'm so glad Glenda had minimal damage. I'd be pacing a hole in the floor too!
I am very glad Glenda did not have a lot of damage! Whew! Being without power is no fun but thank God it was not worse than that. Thinking about you Glenda.
Well, thank goodness, all's well with Glenda. Riding out one of those storms is a hair raising experience in a brick and mortal building, I can only imagine how it was in a mobile home.
