I love looking at the gnarly winter trees as we drive down the road. Of course I never remember to take my camera. I found two from my yard and one down the road. dr says at the end of the road are two more that are better.

Gnarly trees remind me of the headless horseman and his ride through a creepy forest chasing Ichabod Crane on a chilly Halloween night.

Nice photos! Our trees are covered in snow and ice today.

I love gnarly trees. One of pretty things about fall and winter is being able to see the structure of the trees without the leaves.
Are those Hackberry trees? They have crooked limbs and branches like mine do.

This is the pecan tree in the middle of my garden area. I was just sitting there enjoying the afternoon when I heard a woodpecker up in the tree. I decided to go get my camera and see if I could get a photo of it. But... he left and never came back. But the view reminded me of Dooley's gnarly trees, so I snapped a photo anyhow.
