These little fellows have been playing about in our gardens, along the edge of the woods, in the stones along the drive, and anywhere you can think of, for more years than I can remember. Herman is the head Gnome, he usually situates himself in a place of honor, to watch over the others. Herman resides in the house over the winter, while the others find refuge in the garage. They are a somewhat laid back bunch, and can be found napping quite often. But in their own way, they keep order among the growing things in our yard. Herman was named, some 30 years ago, by our daughter, Jo Ann, and she often asks how Herman is doing. Know our grandson Alex likes Herman, but at his age of 2 has to be kept at a distance. The gnomes came out for a group picture just for the "Stew", and are now back cozy in the garage. Tom
They looked like well behaved gnomes to me. I hope mine likes to do something besides drink gnome brew. We need some extra help around here.
Your group of gnomes in the snow do look like a mischievous bunch but with good hearts. Herman is obviously a good strong role model for them. Are my eyes deceiving me or is one the gnomes actually sleeping in the snow?! Thanks for the special group pic Tom.
I see that Herman is shouting out orders even from his priviledged spot indoors. He seems to know that those gnomes need constant supervision.
They seem to to like just playing in the snow. Its nice to get out of that stuffy garage for a bit of fresh air.Fine looking bunch of gnomes to help out in the yard.
Your right Frank, that little bugger, he falls asleep faster than a speeding bullet. Snow, rain, wind, or hot sun, it doesn't matter. There are a couple more that are about ready to do the same, I think that's what Herman was yelling about from in the house. Tom
You sure have a hardy bunch of gnomes Calomaar! I will know spring is here when Alfie (the head gnome) appears with his bunch. They don't usually appear until it warms up about mid May.
