A family member celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary yesterday. 50 years--not an entirely common thing now-a-days. We all gave them an array of presents of course, but my bride and I wanted to give them something a little different for here in addition--a corsage. Keeping true to West-Friesian sobriety, it was not a flash courage...but none-the-less attractive once placed on the recipients. We found it elegant and the flowers used were not typical roses etc. These days, they do not per se have to be worn on the wrist or pinned on--these were affixed with a magnet. The couple found them so nice that they could not bring themselves to throw them away...so they stuk them in water, and this morning they perked right up. They sent this pic: When I see the foto on here--it looks like a normal size-bouquet; however, it really is quite small (6-8 inches, I estimate).
Thanks BIP--I like them as well. I appreciate your words, CAROLYN. They looked pretty nice on the day of the party.
