Habitat is so very lucky to get you! What a great opportunity for you, too, to meet new gardeners and help them get off on the right foot. Let us all know how it goes, and post pictures if possible (I can't post pictures of the housing authority gardens due to privacy policies they have, and which Habitat may have, also).

It sounds like a very worthwhile thing to do. I hope you enjoy yourself while helping others out. Keep us updated on how it goes won't you?

I love shopping at Restore. My garden sink came from there and a really nice little overstuffed chair. It is also my favorite place to find lighting.

Good for you to be volunteering. I didn't know they had a gardening job for volunteers. I will have to look into it.

I get up set when I see them taking sledge Hammers to cupboards or throwing things through windows on HGTV.Not sorting 2x4 ,etc. All could help build or put people back in their homes faster-like Sandy's storm victims.
