Not in the building part.Dh having bad shoulder. But they need gardeners lady told.We went to home building show. And had pictures of my flower beds. And need volunteers at restore .Want to go there and look for more house trim.
Habitat is so very lucky to get you! What a great opportunity for you, too, to meet new gardeners and help them get off on the right foot. Let us all know how it goes, and post pictures if possible (I can't post pictures of the housing authority gardens due to privacy policies they have, and which Habitat may have, also).
It sounds like a very worthwhile thing to do. I hope you enjoy yourself while helping others out. Keep us updated on how it goes won't you?
It will be a while before the building part goes.Being in colder area. And can't pour the footings .But going to Restore for some more((Ginger Bread like)) trim. After flood in 08 in Cedar Rapids. Many houses taken down.Want to copper pipes for trellis and rain gauge.
I love shopping at Restore. My garden sink came from there and a really nice little overstuffed chair. It is also my favorite place to find lighting. Good for you to be volunteering. I didn't know they had a gardening job for volunteers. I will have to look into it.
I get up set when I see them taking sledge Hammers to cupboards or throwing things through windows on HGTV.Not sorting 2x4 ,etc. All could help build or put people back in their homes faster-like Sandy's storm victims.
