I was photographing my Mama bluebird feeding her babies when I heard a rustling in the shrubs.

This is what I saw in the rhododendrons.

Since I had my camera in my hands, I had to take a few photos before I went to his rescue.

I did not want to get too close & panic him, so I gently shook the branch and he was able to get free and fly off. :D

Oh my! I had a Hummingbird stuck in a spider web this spring on my porch. I held up a long stick to his feet and he grabbed on and flew away. It was scary!

So glad you heard the rustling Gail. If you hadn't been around to save him he could easily have perished. Well done!! :stew2:

Thank you all for your comments, I think the poor finch darted into the shrubs when he saw me but I am glad he wasn't injured. He took off pretty fast.
