Our tradition is to take our anniversary week and do some wandering around Texas. This state is huge and we will never see every nook and cranny in our lifetime but we are giving it a try. We leave tomorrow (Sunday) heading back to Nerrin's Junk Barn...strange name since none of it is in a barn Having been down there last year and seeing just how much stuff he had, this time I have a list. I never in my wildest dreams ever saw myself with a list for shopping in a junk yard/barn. I want more of the fence pickets if he still has them and a couple of smallish bicycle wheels and more corrugated tin to make some decorative items for the bloom house we will be building over the next month or so and........ummmmm, there was something else on the list....guess I'll have to play it by ear. Found several other junking places to visit and will be back home Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday is our anniversary so we will have dinner with our kids and grandkids. Then back on the road Thursday morning and back home either Saturday or Sunday evening. Then I think there will be no more junqueing trips for a few months.....don't quote me on that and you certainly won't see it 'written in stone' cause I just might change my mind later in the summer. We will have the computer with us so you won't have time to really miss me. And photos early next week.
I hope you have a couple of flatbed trucks with you too - you never know what you might find that isn't on your list!! Have a great time Toni and Randy. Happy Anniversary for Wednesday.
I absolutely love seeing the "junque" that you see possibilities in, and what you make of it when you get it home. This is better than those home decorating shows on TV! Toni, have a great anniversary, enjoy your explorations, and please share with us your ideas/finds/bargains.
Happy junk-hunting, Toni, hope you find everything on your shopping list & more! Happy Anniversary for Wednesday
