It was cold here last night (east TX). It was 14! We broke a record...now that is cold for TX. Suppose to be up to 60 by mid week. Craziness! Everyone bundle up!

Tomorrow is supposed to get down to -23°C in some parts of Scotland with severe gales which will cause it to feel even colder and cause the snow to drift. They say this is the worst weather to hit us here for over thirty years!!

dr says he doesn't know how much more of this global warming he can take. It's freezing here. There was three inches of ice on the horses water tub this morning. He had to break it with an ax and that was after the sun shined on it all morning. We had some frozen water pipes but nothing broken. We even left the taps running last night.

Everyone is in a deep freeze...others of course more so, but please everyone be careful. This is a killer cold and you can't be too cautious out and about.

Warming up here in Essex today. 2'c and the snow has started to melt away. However, sleet and snow has been forecasted for later today...if it is sleet, it could put an end to the snow, if it is more snow...well I am hoping the kids school will reopen tomorrow.

My sister-in-law just flew over to Scotland yesterday for an extended stay with friends and family there. She'll spend most of her time in Dundee, and is doing her best to prepare for the cold (she now lives in the US in sunny Florida!!!). I told her to buy a wool sweater (or two!) while in Scotland to keep her warm!!!

Ended up with a low of -0.1F this morning. The sun started to come out and then the clouds came in with a few flurries. It's about 15 at noon.
