Just watched the local weather forcast. They are saying a low of 34 for Sunday morning. That means the F word. (FROST). Highs in the 50's for most of next week. Awfully early for these temps.

We are expecting daytime temperatures to drop into the mid to upper 80's, and the nighttime temps to be in the high 50's. Whoopee . . . .
    No frost in sight here.

I have 4 cord of wood in the shed all ready to go and am waiting for my neighbor to deliver 3/4 of a cord more. Plus I have 6, 50lb. bags of wood scraps from the shop that I will start out with. Hopefully I won't need to get into the wood until about Christmas.

Cold ? Not here. It is 63', and allegedly to reach 47' tonight. We might get a few nights in the low 40s, and that is about as cold as it will get this week. It is supposed to be in the 60s/70s this week, so that is not at all "cold" as they are claiming. I do not know what all the fuss is about here. "Cold" is below 30, more like 20 or less to me. 30' is more like "chilly" in my book. People here are such wusses when it comes to anything below 50, sometimes below 60'. I intend to get more wood, but so far, I only have about 1 rick of wood here.

Anything over 75' is HOT as far as I am concerned. It was 79' this afternoon. Ick. Did you know that 80' is hot enough to be fatal for some people. I am one of them. I have had heat exhaustion more times than I can count, and it makes summer very miserable for me. We did send the AC back to the neighbor who loaned it to us this summer. No need to keep it in my window all winter.

I still have to find a new home for a few houseplants before we get frost or snow...
