Thank goodness for my mum! I haven't been able to get any Internation Kidney spuds this year, these are the ones grown on Jersey and sold as Jersey Royals in late spring. I could have gotten them mail order, but I hate paying so much P&P, especially as I have been able to get them from my local nursery in the past. So, I had given up on growing them.....until mum called just now to say she is at an out of town garden centre with her work mates, and low and behold, International Kidney seeds spuds for sale. YAY! I am seeing her next weekend for Mothering Sunday, so alls well. :-D

That is terrific news, EJ. I have not received my order of thos spud type yet...I hope that they haven't forgotten me.
I had a very big disappointment with the Harlequins that I ordered from T&M this year. I ordered 50 and more than half were rotten! The stink coming out of the box was horrific. It was really bad because I had ordered for some gardening mates here this year as well. Oh ...it was really disappointing and embarrassing. Did you happen to order any of these yourself? I was wondering if you had a bad batch as well.
I spoke to another person that ordered them and they had the same problem.

Anyway...it's great that your mum came through for you! :D

No Sjoerd, didn't order them. I used to have a problem with onion and shallot sets arriving rotten and was always on the phone getting replacements, another reason why I now try to source my seeds and sets at local nurseries or suppliers.

I hope you telephoned them and got a refund or replacement.

Well, I wrote an e-mail and am waiting to hear from them now. I don't know what to expect from them.
    What a big disappointment, tho.
