My sister-in-law drove up from San Antonio as a surprise to visit us. Tonight, we had all the kinfolk in the county over for supper. We had steaks from the grill and these to go along with the steaks:

Cream peas grown just North of our little town on the farm of a friend
    [IMG]

Squash grown by my brother-in-law out in the country
    [IMG]

    Cantaloupe from the farmer's market
    [IMG]

black diamond watermelon - grocery store (sorry)

And my wife made a peach cobbler
    [IMG]

Here's how I ate my peach cobbler

It's good to know that most of your meal came from local producers WT. That cobbler certainly makes your mouth water just looking at it. :-D

The peaches came mostly from an orchard about 5 miles from our house. Some of them came off our trees. Lots of ours got eaten (in Texas we say "ett") by bugs & birds.
