I have several beautiful purple bearded iris that will not grow straight. All grow curved like a goose neck. Leaves are normal just the flower stem curves. Any ideas what causes this or are they a different variety. Are growing right beside normal white ones. I like them because they are different.

Not sure why it would do that. Can't wait until my iris bloom. Wish they bloomed longer.

I don't know why, but if they bother you, then push one of those skinny bamboo sticks next to iris as soon as stem starts to bend & tie it with panty-hose strips. Keep adding a new strip as iris grows taller. It'' straighten 'em tight up!

Doesn`t bother me, You can`t straighten them up, all you can do is hold them up. This is a genetic trait. Even the ones that are off the ground curve the same way.
