This cute little guy showed up yesterday. Too bad we can't keep him. ( photo / image / picture from carolyn keiper's Garden ) I hope we can find him a home soon.
He seems to feel right at home with you. Fingers crossed he'll soon have a loving family to take care of him.
He is as sweet as can be. Our cats won't let him live here :'( they run off any non resident really quick. We tried to keep a stray one a couple of years ago... didn't work. I can't understand how people can drop their cats off after they have been raised in the house from kitten age.
Well, thank heavens he found you and your home! He could have made a much worse choice. Hope you find him a good home soon. We have the same problem with Feliz--she will not tolerate another animal in the house (nearly took out a friend's Yorkies that she insisted on bringing in. Those are fast little doggies!).
Netty, I do believe someone dumped him. He appears to be about 6 mo old. The picture doesn't do him justice, either. He is a very nice cat. I even said we could keep him if the cats would tolerate him, but I don't think that will happen. So someone else will get a nice pet out of him. Christmas is coming soon. Maybe some wonderful mom will allow it to live there. The last one we tried to keep and the cats wouldn't tolerate it, went splat, after a couple of months out side. They are house pets and don't have a clue how to survive outside after someone gets tired of it or can't keep it any longer. They don't realize how traumatic a transition it is for the cat to find food and shelter. One time I found a bowl of cat food and several kittens under a tree out by the neighbors driveway. I only happened to be walking down the road that day because kevin was working down at the other neighbors tearing down a barn.
He is a nice looking cat, hope you find a good home for him. Back in the hottest part of our summer, someone dumped three just weaned kittens in our front yard. We put out food and water until we could catch them, then took them to the local animal shelter.
Sometimes I hate people! The poor kitty was lucky to find you, and I hope you'll find him a good home. Both our cats are strays that moved in because they realized that we're easily trained people.
I called the dog warden, but they didn't have anyone looking for a cat. I left my number just in case, though.
Aww, sweet little fella I hear black cats have the best personalities :-D I'd like to bring my old office cat home but StratCat would not stand for it I'm afraid :-| Maybe your cats will warm up to him after a while
shadow ( photo / image / picture from carolyn keiper's Garden ) Well, I am thinking he has turned into a permanent guest. he now has a name....Shadow. He follows us all over.
Carolyn, I had a feeling that that cat would become a permanent resident. He just didn't look like he wanted to move now that he had found a good home with willing servants! Enjoy Shadow, and know that you have done a good deed by rescuing him.
