My best friend (since childhood) has a big day coming up.... her daughter will be graduating from college next month. Her son drove them over today looking for some pretty flowers as a backdrop for her graudation photos. I felt so bad that there's really not anything like that in bloom right now. Just some low growing flowers here and there. And she wasn't about to lay on the ground in her cap & gown for the pictures.
I suggested one of the nurseries I recently visited on my hunt for native plants in Beaumont... which is where the college is. So hopefully she'll find something suitable for her photos.
I don't know why we didn't think of this last year when everything was in full bloom!

Sigh....sometimes our gardens just don't cooperate! I can relate Cherylad.

Cheryl, when we lived in town a bride-to-be wanted to have her pictures taken in our garden. She posed, not in front of the roses, not in the mixed perennial beds, but in the English Ivy that was under a big tree! I could have cried . . . .
    So, don't feel bad.
