I guess it's that time of the year. Two of our sons have graduations. Dan got his degree in electrical instrumentation and is going to work for an open pit copper mine in Arizona. Our oldest son, Tom, just got his PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry. That last is a mouthful. He's been working on it for a long time and working for a winery in product development out in California. Our grandson graduated from high school in May and has moved in with his older sister. He couldn't wait to get out of the house and on his own. He plans on traveling before deciding what he's going to do next. The neighbor boy is graduating tomorrow from high school. He's going to Culinary Arts school and wants to be a Chef. It's a four year school. He's a good baker already. Makes great cheese cakes. Congratulations are in order for these and all the graduates young and old for their accomplishments. dooley
Dooley, you must be so proud of your boy's! Congrats!! :-D (Here in The Netherlands graduations are kind of kept quiet. The only thing we notice is that people hang out the national flag with schoolbags attached.)
Congrats Dooley My older sister had decided to go back to school and just graduated with a BA in business management. She got a 3.8 GPA
It's never too late go learn something new. Tom is going to be 50 in August and Dan will be 48 in October. Seems education is a continuing process now. dooley
Congratulations to Tom, Dan, your grandson and the future Culinary Arts major. How true it is, you are never too old to learn something new. Jerry
Hi Dooley, Please extend congratulations to your sons, grandson, and neighborhood boy! Along with this theme, here is our news: our daughter just graduated with a BA in Chemistry with High Honors & a Minor in Music. She is very pleased and we are proud of her. Now, if she can only find a job....
Fortunately my boys have always had jobs, maybe not the one they wanted but they now have the opportunity to work in the field they enjoy and are knowledgable about. I'm sure your daughter will soon have a job she enjoys, too. dooley
Graduation is a big milestone in their lives. Does your daughter have big plans for the rest of her life? Tim just wants to be out there. He's working his part time job yet so I'm not sure how he plans to travel. dooley
She's very excited! She's been ready to head off to the Prom since early this morning. She will be working towards a business degree starting this September. We are proud of her!
Your daughter is beautiful and looks so happy. She is ready to celebrate for sure. She'll go far with her life and you can sure be proud of her. I'm proud of all our boys have accomplished with their lives and most of it on their own. dooley
Dooley, Sorry I am so late, but the sentiment is still there. CONGRATULATIONS!!! to your boys and everyone else's graduates. Netty your daughter is beautiful!
