Here is the good news finally. She is coming home in a few more days. We are taking training for her special needs, and then she can come home and be with us. The house is rather topsy-turvy as we are trying to rearrange things for all of her baby needs. Some things will go into storage, etc. And the pets have not been happy about our travels, even though a dear friend is pet sitting and coming over to take care of them. I got to meet her for the first time and hold her and play with her the past few days. Thank you all for the prayers and kind thoughts.
I've been wondering how she was doing. So glad she's going to be home soon. I'd love to see some photographs of her with you when she gets settled.
My kids would prefer not to put her pictures online due to child predators. Hopefully, no one like that is here, but I will respect their wishes in the matter.
I was actually going to suggest the exact same thing. That pictures of minors shouldn't ever be posted in any open to public platform over the internet. Correct birthdays too shouldn't be mentioned. As that's a key detail which online ID thieves are always on the lookout for... In fact, look up the term "shelf baby" to learn more about such scams. As it's a false persona of a fictitious person, (yet very closely resembling someone in reality) - And it starts out as a baby, which grows up in the cyber world, until he or she is 18 years old. After which, (when this fake profile matures). It is actioned off to the highest biding hacker. Who can either use it to scam the social security services. Or money laundering, (even to cast false votes online to swing opinions). So never give out too many details of any minor over the internet. Hackers and con artists in today's world REALLY think too far ahead now...
Excellent advice S-H ! Just know that we wish her and everyone the best and all the happiness in the world ! I am sure we will get future updates ?
Very cool to hear she will be coming home! well, I'm sure a newborn pic isn't going to make any difference. but good thinking anyhow. mine are old enough to play online games (Roblox), I had to make sure they didn't use real names as usernames and that they know not to give away phone number or address EVER.
I will try on future updates. It is dangerous to put baby and children's pictures out there. We are working on getting things ready for her to come home.
We have had to be back and forth multiple times to take care of things at home, and be up there for classes. It is a long drive each way. I think I am home now to stay, the kids have a few more days of classes in her care. I finished early so I could be here for arriving packages and stuff for the baby. She is such a sweetheart. And our pets sure were lonesome. A friend took care of them for me.
DGD came home finally the other day. She is doing pretty good, but has tube feedings and oxygen for now. She loves to play with Grammie. Yesterday, I found my one dog Chloe dying in the afternoon. I am not sure what happened, but we buried her last night. Chloe was 9 1/2 years old. She was too far gone when I found her. Sasha and Freddie seem to miss her a lot, but they know she is deceased.
