I don't usually brag about storeproducts, but I have to on this. I have used Otho Home Defense for years. I use it to spray around the doorways to keep bugs from coming in the house. Especially ants. I have been having problems with Borer Bees digging in the wood on my deck. I have been using wasp and hornet spray, but that only works when you happen to catch the bee in his hole. This year Ortho came out with Home Defense Max. I sprayed in on the wood where the bees have been active and the underside of all of the wood. They haven't been back in 2 days. This morning I sprayed the shepherds hook where I keep the humming bird feeder to keep the ants away from it. If you have bug problems, I would definately recommend it.
Do you have an ant moat or a container that you fill with water so the ants don't get into the food? They are fairly cheap here, under a dollar. Just make sure you fill the cup with water so the ants and spiders, etc. don't get to the food...please be careful with sprays around the birds...so many are toxic and will kill them or make them sick. I haven't read the packaging for it.
