Just chatting with the hubby the other day and the question came up... is there any plant that puts on a green flower?? I don't ever remember seeing one. Anybody here know of one or some??
They don't get much attention from the garden centers or nurseries, most of them you have to order or grow from seed. I love that green coneflower... and the green rose is definitely unique. Can't wait until I get home to tell hubby that I know of a few green flowers! Thanks Toni!
I plan on having the green Coneflower and Zinnia in my garden next year. Might try the green rose but I am running out of room in the front garden so I might have to put that one just on the wish list.
ohhhh how lovely! I'm definitely gonna have to look into getting some green flowering plants in the spring.
I've got all green flowers and flowers with lots of green in them because I like them. We tried growing the green rose, but it only grew wild shots. I might try again some time.
This past year I saw a lovely green hydrangea that supposedly stayed green and didn't turn pink or blue.
me too... me too... euphorbia lathyris ??? flowers green / yellowish got it. but it's small. not flowering yet. maybe next year if it survives the winter!
I have the green Meringue coneflower this year. Have to check an see if I have seeds left . Hope it lives thru winter..
Sorry Toni, I shouldn't have shown them to you, I think that make me an enabler or something like that.
