it’s that time of year when the greenhouses must have their windows painted to diminish the sun and heat inside the glass house. I just slap on the whitening willy-nilly; however my neighbour lady has turned the sunscreening into a very charming art form. Take a look at what she did to her greenhouse: Well, it is no wonder really, as she is an accomplished artist with paint, stone work and other forms. When she asked me to come and have a look, i was gobsmacked when I saw this. I had no idea. I really like the naïve style.
Not only is her artwork functional, just think of the happiness looking at it will bring to the other allotmenteers! Your neighbor is a true artist, and a bringer of joy.
Too right, Jane. She is such a positive person, I know she has already brought a great deal of joy to me with this. Thanks so much for your very kind remarks. I shall relate them to her.
I know, Loggy. We did ours plain white and it does not look very inspirational. We will have to remove some of that “paint” to let a bit more sun in. The protective whitening keeps a bit too much light out. We only have a smiley on the front again. Not exactly Banksy-quality, izzit.
Eileen—you are right, she is all of that. Thanks Netty, I shall tell her. I thought about that, Loggy, but she has a very busy life already.
The Bride made some bands by cleaning off some of the screening paint. If it goes further than this, we shall see. It is already lighter inside the greenhouse.
