Hello! We are new-comers in northern New Mexico. We have some room to plant stuff, and - very important - we have water rights. (Of course, all the rights in the world are no good if the winter is dry...) Our place has the remnants of a very old fruit orchard - apricots, apples, and a gigantic pear tree. Previous residents grew garden vegetables; we hope to carry on. Plus, being New Mexico, we must grow "the three sisters" (corn, beans, and squash) together.
Welcome to Garden Stew. I visited NM a while ago and had a couple of photos published in one of the pamphlets that they put out. A fantastic area with all the adobe type buildings.
Welcome to GardenStew Greg Your property sounds fantastic! Looking forward to hearing about your gardening adventures
A warm welcome to you Greg from Scotland where we seldom have a water shortage problem. I look forward to getting to know you.
Welcome to the forum! We are in central Texas, and have a rain water harvesting system for the gardens and hens. I understand water shortages and hope you don't have one.
