Greetings fellow gardeners! I happened upon this site due to a homework assignment. For my English II class I was asked to join an online community and then write a recommendation report about it. Since I enjoy gardening, I thought I would try out this site. My garden is part of a large community garden called Eagle Heights Community Garden on land owned by the University of Wisconsin. My family has had the same plot for four years now. I had never gardened before and have learned so much, but still have so much to learn. GardenStew seems like a friendly place to get useful advice and share my gardening experiences with others who have a similar interest in gardening. As for my homework assignment...hopefully I can represent this site well.

Welcome from Texas.I'm wannabe's sister so I used to live in Wisconsin, also. I have a son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons in Oshkosh. Son and daughter-in-law both graduated from UW-Madison. Did their grad work there, too.
I did more gardening in younger days but I'm sure you will find a lot to write about if you visit often.

Grow, sending a big welcome from a fellow Wis. Stewer. I am not to far outside of Green Bay. Sounds like a great idea with the community garden. You should find a lot of great info here. Like Jerry said; there are friendly folks from all over the world. I hope you can post your article for all of us to enjoy. :stew1:

Thank you for all the welcomes. One thing that I know will go in my report is how friendly this place is. Looking forward to future interactions.
