Hi, I've been looking for a resource and a place where when I talk about a particular plant and whether I'm growing it in the right place, that the other person in the conversation doesnt give that blank look or silence. I dont seem to know a lot of gardening types, but maybe here I will be understood! *crosses fingers* I am also fascinated with all the bugs and wildlife encountered with gardening. I have a 3 acre area as my playground. About 1 of it is wooded and the rest is pasture and the other part my rather barren front yard. We moved in a year ago and I'm hoping to share my adventure in beautifying it. Thanks and good to meet y'all!
Hey Bug Hugger, Welcome to Gardenstew from another resident of North Texas. Of course here in Texas North Texas covers a big area, I am in Carrollton, where are you? Toni

Hi there Prairiefeather. You'll find lots to talk about here at GardenStew as we have quite a few Texans around. How about adding your name to our members map so that we can see exactly where you are? Before you know it you'll be addicted to these forums just like the rest of us. :-D
Yes you will Prairiefeather Welcome to GardenStew (or 'The Stew' as sometimes refer to it as) Lots to see and do here! As you are on a quest to beautify your yard you may want to start a blog here to keep a diary of your progress. It will help others easily keep up to date and offer advice and tips. Just a suggestion Glad to have you here (I like your profile picture by the way, is it an ornament in your garden?) Regards.
WELCOME! Cant wait to see pics of your gardens and projects. We have some great gardeners here! And some great crafters too. I love seeing everyones different ideas for a yard.... one yard and so many different ways of doing it!
Welcome. This is the right place to talk plants with people who love them. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Earth laughs in flowers."
