Hello all: I blundered into this site from a Google search, and I am certainly glad I did! I look forward to talking with each one of you. I am a hometown girl--my roots did not spread far from my good-sized extended family. My husband and I reside in Kettering, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. Enough of that...now about the garden. I am a rather new gardener, and my focus is on culinary herbs. My absurdly barren clay soil currently houses a decent selection of the classics (oregano, tarragon, dill, parsley, cilantro...) that are dwarfed by a pineapple sage plant that threatens its neighbors like Godzilla stomping Tokoyo. My beloved lemon verbena is potted nearby, ready to be swept into the house when the weather cools. And continuing the habit I established with my two dogs, I took in a stray...I dug up and potted purslane that volunteered itself among the garlic. I am looking forward to sharing ideas and peeking over the shoulder of some more experienced gardeners. Thank you for taking me in! Best wishes, Jenny
