    Hi,
So glad to have found this site! What a great site.

I am from Florida and still learning what will grow here. (That usually means I have failed and haven't figured out why!) I think by far the hardest thing I have tried to grow is a gardenia tree...it's not a bush.

Just love to watch things grow..it's so amazing to plant a seed & watch it transform before your eyes.

Other hobbies include antique hunting, auctions & trying to make something out of nothing.

I have posted a photo of a flower on the flower gardening forum hoping someone might be able to identify the flower located at my sister's house in TN.

Thanks to kuntrygal for the welcome on that forum.

Hope I find my way back here! LOL

    Welcome

Welcome from the Crystal Coast and former Florida resident. You can grow such exotic plants down there. I loved the Poinciana. Hope you enjoy the "stew" 8) from the Gold Coast.

Thank all of you for a 'warm welcome'.

I have found such interesting and informing information on this website that all of you have contributed to over time.

Thanks so much and I'm sure I'll find lots more in the archives of information here.

Gardengater, I will have to check out the Poinciana & see what that is.

(In case you're wondering why I always use this "MickeyMouse" logo..it's my nickame. Just thought I should explain that!

This is an amazing place...people from all over the world to share...

Okay, I have been navigating around the site and boy there is a lot to view. I am worn out just looking & reading the info here! LOL This is how I feel about now:

I have also confused myself about why one thing says 'gardenstew' and then I see 'plantstew'. Whew... what does all that mean?

Just love all the information here. But I can see there are some very talented & gifted gardeners here. Looks like I'll be asking more questions than anything. I knew I didn't know a lot...but geez, I didn't know I didn't know this much! LOL

Hi and welcome from Louisiana. Plantstew is just another part of gardenstew. Gardenstew is the forum to discuss things and plantstew is to just look up different plants. You'll get used to it.

"The wise person knows that he knows nothing" the saying goes, so you must be wise. :D The more I learn the more I realize that I've still got a lot to learn, and I will never learn it all. To me, gardening is a lifetime hobby and lifelong learning.

Just think of it as a website within a website Stargazer, a sub-website if you will :)
