Grossbeaks.

    Never had more than one visit and I think it was only once. Today there have been 4 for a few hours in the garden and on the seed table.

    I just replied to your blog entry saying that I hoped the Grossbeak in your photograph would attract more to your garden. Now I see that you already have four of these attractive birds and I'm so pleased for you.

    We had 17 different species on the deck today. all in photographic spots, but I have so mnay of them already. These are three males and a female. Eileen, We have 106 signed up for the newsletter.

    Ahh now that I look closer at your photograph I can see the female in front without the yellow eye stripe. Are these birds rare breeders where you are or are they migrants?

    There are some of these in areas close by, but not a lot in Victoria here. They are not starting a panics to see them or anything like that. They are back again today. Just arrived while I was writing this.

    Sounds like it was a good day for birds. Enjoyed seeing your grossbeaks...very attractive coloring.
