    Hi,
As a B.C. resident on the Sunshine Coast of Canada (zone 8B) I adore the tropical Canary Island palms and with considering the ever-increasing warming trends I was wondering if it would now be possible to chance growing some Phoenix Canariensis here on the coastline where I live...
Any thoughts or insights? Could I do so without extensive wrapping and/or intensive operations pre-dormant season?

    Looking forward to your findings.

    Kelly.

    Hi there Kelly...
Im not sure where you live but i have Canary Island Dale Palms in the front of my house. Ill post a pic. they are in HUGE pots and only stay there until about November. They are good down to about 40 degrees or so.... we bring ours to a greenhouse in the winter so and they are doing wonderful. They get bigger ever year and they are still in the same pots. weve had them about 3 years now. ill post a pic for you to see. They originally came from Florida (im in NY)
