A few years ago on Garden Talk we used to have seed swaps in the fall. Kostzakid shared a lot of Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate seeds with us, but mine never grew. This afternoon, I was out in my yard and found a baby one growing, and it has flowers on it. Yay! :-D I moved it to a safe tub where it can get bigger and not get mowed by my lawnmower when I mow. I hope they do well. Thank you Kostzakid..aka Connie. Big hugs. Oh, they were nowhere near where I planted them, so the squirrels or birds must have moved the seeds.

I really like finding something unexpected in the garden. I hope your 'Kiss me Over the Garden Gate' grows strong and healthy.

Will it need protection this winter since it is just a baby ? I could put a sheet of bubble wrap over the tub [with a little ventilation] to sheild it some from the cold. I will get out there and get a pic this morning. It is to be 37' here tonight, and we might have a frost next week. I dont want it to die so soon.

I also have a recent rose cutting in that tub, and some bee balm transplants. I guess I will get the cover out for my mini green house because my Stella De Oro lily seedlings are in a starter tray there, and some more recent rose cuttings. They look like they have some new growth starting! Cayuga Morning sent the Stella De Oro lily seeds. :)
