// Moderator's Note: Split from http://www.gardenstew.com/about8398.html You know Barb, it might be nice to see more of those plants of yours. House plants are important here in Holland as well as outside ones, so naturally I'm interested.
Here is my Guiney Impatient........Yesterday ..Indoors.. I got it from my sister this fall and brought it inside to survive. Dont even know if it is a house plant. But it really is putting on a show.. b
Putting on a show....boy, you can say that again! These are nice-looking plants aren't they? This particular specimen seems to be doing very well. It's not a bad colour either. Do you have other colours of this plant? You sure do have a green thumb, don't you, B? Any more pics? ---Thanks loads
gueney Imps I dont have any other color ......This was one sister said take it home so I dont kill it.. Ha ha We swap alot......She is actually better . Thanks .....I like show off flowers.. If you notice on that photo you can see a Gerber daisy bloom also. It is brought in also.. I will check and see if I have a photo. Glad your enjoying it. b
Striking red flowers Barb especially with the dark green of the leaves. A wise decision I think to bring your tender plants indoors. :-D
Barb I do love that plant.I have a pale pink in the hot house not sure if its that kind ,I do love the color of your.
I bring in a pot of regular Impatiens every year and hang them in my kitchen window for the color.I hang them because I have limited windows that actually get sun, and to keep them up out of the kitties way. I love the New Guinea ones too, and have seen both in house plant books.
Imps Wrennie, Gueney Imps are so nice......Much larger blooms than the regular.. One time when they were cheaper priced, I had red and white ones outdoors, Every other one was white. They did grow well on the North side of the house. They prefer shade........ I have some cuttings of the regular imps in water, THink I will plant in soil soon. They are a big favorite around here.
