I love having the lights off and oodles of candles burning. Good thing I make them myself, we could never afford to buy as many as I burn in a year. Tonight I had candle-type lights on the window sills, I have two 12 hole sugar molds in the wood burning stove that hold votive holders and candles and these candles on the coffee table. Sure kept the room warm and glowing. In a couple of days I get to break hard wax off the strings of black and orange beads you see around the candles so I can reuse the wax for next years candles.
toni I love candles also and make them myself.I have had as many as 20 burning at once time when my power was out and it was cool I did get warmer.
Prim, I found garlands of black beads and orange beads at an after Halloween sale a few years ago and as I usually do I bought several because I just knew they would be just the thing I would need someday...one reason my craft room is so crowded. After the wax hardens for a few days, it breaks apart easily, the beads are not damaged or have wax on them so they are ready for next year. But one string did catch on fire last night. So this year I am going to be on the lookout for black votive holders or some sort of small cup I can make the candles in for next year.
