    That is really beautiful, please take another picture when the tree (or trees since there are two different colors?) are in full bloom.

    I wish my yard was large enough for a witch hazel. There are two varieties, the common and vernal, that supposedly grow down here but I have never seen them in any garden center.

    Sadly, the bushes are still babies so they have not yet become spectacular border fillers. We have I think 7 of them at present.

    The astringent Witch Hazel is extracted from the leaves and bark of the Hamamaelis virginiana. It's great for skin care from acne to sunburn.

    Lovely colour. :D We want to have one or two of those, but haven't gotten round to it yet. The late winter colour is very welcome.
