Just as well Ian wasn't around when you unwrapped it or there would have been a fight for it!! You'd have been safe from me though as I don't like dark chocolate.
When the boys are asleep and barley isn't barking for his dinner or hubby isn't going out and barley isn't barking. But i wouldn't be without them.
Eileen, do you think that dark choccy is a man thing, or just simply a casual preference? I don’t know, I just know that I strongly prefer the dark. I reckon we shall have to find a different kind of choc for you. Netty, those red ones are good as well. I think that Jane goes for the Lindt truffles. Loggy, i see what you mean about what happiness is to you. I suspect that it means different things to different folks. I have different happiness in moments that present themselves with different circumstances.
Actually I'm really not a big fan of any type of chocolate. Oh I do eat it but not in the quantities that some folks can. I do think dark chocolate is preferred by men though for some reason.
Well, you could be right, Eileen, although my Bride does prefer it too. Ach, but then she is a dyed-in-the-wool chocoholic.
I like dark chocolate and I could eat a bar all at once but it has to be the 70% or more because that's better for you. I'm happy when I'm eating it but when it's gone what next?
Tell me about it! Each week my wife gives me the shopping list and on it will always be one or two boxes of Lindt truffles They are often £5 a box but lately they've only been £4 in Tescos. She puts them in this bowl on the end of the sideboard near the door of our lounge, to "tempt" me as I pass by. But I restrict myself to one or two a day. The only chocolate I usual have are "sprinkles." I don't have sugar in anything so I'm not fond of sweets. A friend gave me a coffee half way round the golf course yesterday, but I couldn't drink it because of the sugar in it, it was far too sweet for me.
Yeah Loggy, I’m the same. For me it has to be a minimum of 70%. I like that interesting bitterness along with the hint of sweetness. I like it so much that I use cacao 90-98% in cooking. You do not get any sweetness with that though, just what the flavour of the almost pure cacao adds to the dish. Well, what next when you are out?! Well there’s only one thing for it—get some more. What a temptation indeed, Riley. You have a nice bowl of temptation there. Lovely tulips and that interesting stone carving. The golf drinks looked as if they would be tasty. I admire someone with self control...it is a civilised trait. Chuckle.
Heh, heh, heh— you must have a will of iron. BTW, tell me more about the soft-centered chocs, my Bride may be interested.
