Dooley and Dr I hope you have a happy 46th anniversary! Do you have big plans? You only have 4 more years before the big 50. Enjoy your day. Wannabe
Tonight we stopped after work at the new Asian Buffet. It's sort of like the China Buffet but quieter and it has a better selection. We enjoyed it. Tomorrow, we are having breakfast with Dan and Laurel at the Backburner Cafe in PV. I don't know what we will do with the rest of the day. Not too much. Today was really busy and my feet hurt. dooley
Happy anniversary from me too! Oo, just the idea of going out two times in a row sounds like a celebration. What's PV? Hm, 4 years, you'll hit 50 years and DH & I will hit 25 years.. we may have to plot something, lol!
Sorry, PV is short for Prescott Valley. We live in a small town called Mayer. It's about 20 minutes from Prescott Valley which is where I work at the library and Dan now lives. He is the library manager here in Mayer so some days we pass each other going to work. There isn't a good breakfast place here anymore. dooley
Happy 46th Anniversary Dooley and DR! I hope you guys have a day to remember. Is a backyard grill feast planned?
Happy Happy Anniversary. 46 years of marriage...thats wonderful, and not often accomplished in this day and age.
!HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Dooley and Desert Rat, wishing both of you all the best and MANY more years of great happiness together.
Happy Anniversary Dooley and DR, what an accomplishment, you are probably like Richard and I, can't imagine life with anyone else.
Happy #46 Dooley and DR. Bet it seems like only yesterday that you were newlyweds. Hope you have many, many more.
Thanks for all the good wishes. We had a quiet day. We went to breakfast with Dan and Laurel and they insisted on paying. We came home directly from there. I read a bit. Our youngest son called. He lives in Wisconsin with wife and two grandsons. Ben is the oldest at nine. Andy said he told Ben this morning that it was our anniversary. Ben wanted to know how long we had been married. Andy told him 46 years. he said Ben stood there thinking and said, "That's a long time without a divorce." Andy told him yes, it was. He said Ben stood there for awhile and then said, "They must be that kind of people." Andy told him that, "Yes, we were that kind of people." End of conversation. When I was talking to Andy, his youngest, Jacob who is 5 was standing by him and repeating everything he said. I myself in the same situation would have shooed him away. Andy just kept making weird comments as if he were talking with me and answering me. Finally, Jacob told him, "Dad, you're weird." and left to do something else. My boys all have a weird sense of humor and very often people don't understand them. They get it from their dad. When I tell them that, they look at me like I'm the strange one. They tell me, "Not all of it." But, we had a great life with them and they have all turned out well. We thank God for his blessings on us. dooley
