Thank you all for the kind wishs. It is no secret how long we have been romancing. We met 48 years ago and we have been married 45 years. I am not sure how Laura put up with me that long. I stuck around because she is the finest person I ever met. I guess it all works because after all these years, we are still best friends. dr

I have to work six hours but we are going to go to the Thai restaurant for dinner. Notice that I said dinner. If you go out it's dinner. If you stay home and cook, it's supper. Does it seem more than 45 years? Sometimes, but mostly not. It's give and take in everything and there have been stormy days, but more of the lovely days. Too many people just give up at the first sign of troubled waters. It's compromise and love and putting the other first in your life. It isn't always easy but easy wasn't one of the promises made.
