    Thank you everyone for your kind wishes. Any day I spend with dooley is a great day, birthday or no. All I can say is 72 years is nothing to sneeze at.

    Well, goodness, he spends most days with me. I took him out bumming around so he couldn't work on his shed or cut the weeds or any of the other things he thought needed done. We ended up in Bryan/College Station area. With 50 boxes of books in and around our house the last month or so, we ended up at Barnes and Noble bookstore. He found a couple of things he liked so that's part of what he got for his birthday. He got a 13 pound sledge hammer, too. It's a little one that he wanted. We had a good day and came home and had parmesan noodles and fresh fruit accompanied by bran/date muffins.
    He says he had a good day. Now, he can start going to bed half an hour early and sleeping half an hour later. I told him I thought it was the older you got the less sleep you needed.
