I'm trying to come up with something witty to say about your calendar entry, but I'm having a slow brain day today. So I'll just say Happy Birthday Toni!
Happy Birthday, Toni! Hope you have lots of fun and go out and buy some reaaaaaaaaal nice plants and 'junque".
Happy Birthday Toni! I hope you have the best day ever and get all that you wish and hope for, and then a little more!
Thanks you all. I do plan on some plant shopping therapy this morning, going to make the rounds of my favorite three garden centers. My oldest daughter and grandson are out of town on the 8th grade class trip so we went to their house on Sunday for an early birthday. Each of the grandsons painted up a planter for me. Austin's has 'Will you hurry up!', flowers and a heart painted on it. Nicky's has 'Come out, come out, where ever you are' and flowers on it. Nicky had a hard time understanding why they were giving me empty flower pots To keep the paint from being damaged in the weather, I am going to get some indoor ferns planted in them and put them on the shelf in front of the livingroom window. This evening we will pick up burgers and a birthday cake and go down to the retirement inn where my Mom lives and have my birthday supper with her.
Oh, Toni, I can hear you in my mind, walking about your yard with your grandsons, muttering the exact phrases they painted on the pots. Happy Birthday to you! I hope it's been thoroughly enjoyable.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I have 'shopped til I dropped' and still there are more plants I want. I have to leave in a few minutes to pick up youngest grandson from school. With his mom on the school trip, he has been 'farmed out' the past two nights with friends and tonight with us. But when I get a chance I will list the plants I bought. And I was such a baaaaaad girl, I bought a lot of plants. The most special ones are the two Foxgloves I found, one white and the other pink. I have wanted Foxgloves for years but none of the garden centers carried them. I found loads of them at Home Depot, of all places.
