    Okay.... time for show and/or tell!
    What all did you Moms do, or better yet, have done for you today?
    since I don't have kids, and my mom has passed on... I honored her today by totally fixing up the lily bed I planted in her memory. I have been waiting to really dig into and get rid of the weeds, but some of the Day Lilies I planted didn't sprout with the others. So, today was their last opportunity. First I soaked the bed thoroughly. Then I carefully pulled out weeds and grass. Inspected things that just might be a lily before tossing it aside. I did recover 2 plants and replanted them (this time with something to mark their location). All weeds gone. Laid down newspaper and then mulched. And then watered that in good too.
    It looks so much better... and hopefully more Lilies will bloom... just for her.
