Well, it's that time of year again...so we here want to wish you all a really good coming year. The way we celebrate it here is with the eating of the things that you see on the fotos below--"Oliebollen" en "appelfloppen". The former is dough with or withour currents or raisins boiled in oil and the latter is dough filled with a slice of apple. They are served with fine powdered sugar and coffee or tea. Please take some, virtually...

My they do look delicious. Thanks, I will take one of each.

They appear to be similar to our fried doughnuts and apple fritters. Powdered sugar on just about anything adds to it. ;)

    Oh yum! Thank you!

We had a houseful of my kid's friends, so I was kept busy coming up with snacks to feed them out of my Christmas leftovers. They didn't get anything so nice as this!

May you new year be a blessed one!

Looks wonderful...look like Aebleskiver pancakes. I asked for a pan from Santa, but he didn't come through this year. I guess I'll have to buy one on my own so I can make them too. Happy New Year!
