Happy St. Patrick's Day you all. I can claim at least two connections to Ireland....the Glenn's in Antrim, Ireland and the Sullivan's, somewhere in Ireland...hey Jerry we might be distant cousins.
And the top of the morning to my might be distant cousin Toni! We came from Cork, a wee small town on the river Lee, from a time in the distant past when the potatoes did not do so well. Jerry
My ancestors came from County Antrim around 1750. I have traced my lineage back to John Hugh Kirkpatrick who came to America in 1750 at age 9.
John and Rosehannah Glenn left Antrim, Ireland in 1867/1868, they were 41 and 20. James Sullivan left Ireland in 1864 at 26.
Im a bit Irish myself, couple generations back And dont forget to wear your green! Ive got on a really cute dark green top I got at this hippie boutique in the mall
Toni, My great-great-grandmother left Cork in 1847, 8 1/2 months pregnant with my great-grandfather and either gave birth onboard ship or soon after landing in Bangor, Maine. Moved to Charlestown, MA a few years later. Jerry
To top off your celebration of wearing of the green, kissing the Blarney Stone, drawing a pint of Guinness (which I love by the way) and all other things Irish. Turn your volume up and enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCbuRA_D ... r_embedded
